Our History

Established in 2009, Tenenbaum and Solomon was formed as a continuation of the established practice of Alan Luftspring after his retirement. In January, 2019 the law practice of Jack Zwicker will be continued at the firm. Jack will continue on as a Judge and mediator. Led by two tenured lawyers, Samantha Solomon and Sheldon Tenenbaum, the firm currently serves clients in real estate, lending, family, small business, franchising, wills and estates; and civil litigation. Sheldon Tenenbaum provides services to Legal Aid clients in family law matters.

Our Values

We don’t gouge. Fees are based on time spent, insurance risk and results achieved. We try to be part of your solution, not another problem, by reviewing budgets and suggesting ways to reduce costs. We recognize and understand the anxiety around legal fees.

We want to help. Almost a third of each day is spent providing referrals and general information (without charge) to people ranging from mothers on social assistance to commercial real estste lenders. If You want to meet with us, you can schedule a one hour consult at a cost of $250 + hst that is waived for persons on social assistance or with a valid LAO certificate.

Our referral network includes the in office assistance of an experienced chartered accountant, Edward Friedman 905-940-4033 and a licenced paralegal, Stephen Ding 647-893-5876.

Samantha Solomon, Partner Samantha was born in  1973 in Johannesburg, South Africa. She moved to Calgary in 1986. After completing her LL.B.(University of Western Australia) in 1999 and LL.M (Osgoode) in 2008 she worked at Fraser Milner Casgrain in Calgary until locating to Toronto in 2002. Called to Alberta (2001) and Ontario (2004) Bars , she has worked for a leading title insurance company and currently practices in the areas of Real Estate, Small Business and Wills and Estates.
Sheldon Tenenbaum, Partner Sheldon was born in 1962 in Toronto, where he has lived since.  He earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto (1984) and a Bachelor of Laws fom Queen’s University (1987). Since his call to the Ontario Bar in 1989 he has worked in a variety of small law firms and businesses. Sheldon continues his practice as a general practitioner at Tenenbaum & Solomon practicing primarily in the areas of Family Law, Civil Litigation, Real Estate, and Criminal (Mental Health). He accepts Legal Aid Ontario clients.
